About George Cooper, Pianist, Vocalist

George “Geo” Cooper is a world-class pianist and composer who has recorded the Polygram and Capitol records labels.  His professional credits include Little Richard, the Isley Brothers, Peabo Bryson, Natalie Cole, Chaka Kahn, and the S.O.S. Band. He has performed in various spots around the globe, including Tokyo, Singapore, Milan, Monte Carlo, and Cannes. He studied at the Chicago Conservatory with Faygon Teverbaugh and with Matthew Kennedy at Fisk University, where he was a member of the world-renowned Fisk Jubilee Singers. Zion. He is presently the Minister of Music at The Congregational Church of Park Manor.

About Eric Bate, Violinist

Eric Bate's goal as a teacher is to help motivated students convey stories through music. He does this by teaching them how to achieve different colors and sounds on the violin. Through building a solid understanding of violin technique, he hopes to give each student the ability to express themselves freely. He writes about learning the violin on his blog at advancingviolinst.com. Aside from teaching, Eric is also an active performer. He currently holds posts as a section violinist for both Orchestra Iowa and the Illinois Symphony and is a substitute violinist for the Minnesota Orchestra. During the pandemic, he performed two full recital programs with piano.
